Advanced Gum Disease

There are "dental" ways of describing this person's condition in the before picture, but the best way is to say his gums were very angry.  They were sickly and swollen, bleeding, rough textured and ready to let his teeth go.  After LANAP, you can see the wonderful coral pink color and the beautiful stippling on the surface of the gums also.  Can I promise that you will have similar results, NO.  But, I have never offered anything in my office besides LANAP that can deliver these results.  If you feel that your condition might be similar, call today to schedule a consultation to see if LANAP might be able to help you.

Moderate to Advanced Gum Disease

This patient was seeing me prior to being able to offer LANAP.  We had started with deep cleanings, and she had kept up with her regular 3 month cleanings fairly well.  She would take care of herself at home, but was on the roller coaster ride of gum disease that is all too common.  The problem is, the ride has it's ups and downs, but usually just ends up going down hill in the long run.  When I started offering LANAP, she decided to give it a try.  As the before picture shows, there really aren't any flashing red lights and sirens going off that there is any problem.  This is VERY common in gum disease.  When checking the pockets around her teeth, most teeth had at least one 5 mm deep, with some going as deep as 7.  After, however, the deepest she had was 4mm.  On top of the pocket depth reduction, she went from bleeding at 127 of a possible 162 sites, down to just 2 spots out of the 162 that we checked.  Getting treatment before all your teeth are at an advanced stage of periodontitis will only increase your chances of keeping your teeth in the future.
