Once your mouth is healthy, cosmetic dentistry is a great option for most people. Even if it only involves whitening your less than white teeth. Many people have avoided taking care of things, and now may be the time to make your smile look the way it should. Ask Dr. Wheeler about your options. Typically, we recommend that you do the treatment that is the most conservative to existing tooth structure. Every case is different, and we can help you get the result you are looking for.
Whitening
Both in office and take home systems can help you achieve a brighter, whiter smile. The speed and longevity is the biggest difference. Take home kits take much longer, and are often harder to maintain once you reach the goal you set out for. They are less expensive though.
The in office technique we use is called KöR Whitening Deep Bleaching. We have tried systems that use a bright light, the same as the one you may have seen on television. After investing in the hardware and performing the light system on patients with varied results, we made a switch. The KöR Whitening Deep Bleaching has given us brilliant results, and without the troubles we had with the other system. It is not a quick 1-hour fix hoping to trick you by drying out your teeth for a few hours after the treatment. This comprehensive approach to whitening actually takes some time. It is unlikely that you will be disappointed. KöR Whitening Deep Bleaching takes an impression appointment, an initial whitening visit, 2-3 weeks of take home whitening, then a final, knock it out of the park whitening visit. The step by step approach allows your teeth to be conditioned resulting in only needing a periodic touch up to keep your teeth their whitest. This is the most reproducible result I have found in any product on the market. Whitening does not remove tooth structure like most other cosmetic techniques, and is favored for that reason if we can gain the results you want to achieve.

Porcelain Veneers
By removing the top layer of the tooth we are able to reshape and change the color of a tooth. This can be one of the least damaging methods of changing a smile. At times, depending on the case, no tooth structure needs to be removed to obtain the desired goal.
This is a case where only the four front teeth were changed. The two old, dark veneers were redone, and the two middle teeth were reshaped to a more attractive shape.

Implants
When a tooth is missing, or a number of teeth are missing, implants can be the most reliable and comfortable choice to replace them. After implants are used, your smile and chewing ability is restored to like new condition.
